I have been asking my husband to be to put up a shelf in our dining room to display my crockery and other arty bits. I’m hoping this blog post will inspire him to get on with it! Haha!

I may have sorted my flower issue. An old aquintance of mine and my best mate (and bridesmaid) owns a flower shop in Sheffield called Swallow’s and Damson’s. Its a lovely vintage style flower shop and I think Anna, whos owns it, understands what I require, yay!!

wedding flowers
Posted by katybrown | Filed under k+m wedding
I’ve been trying to find a florist for our wedding who will put together my bouquet as though i’ve just gone flower picking in a meadow, and its so hard! They want to create something perfect, which I just don’t want, so I think I’m going to do it myself. I know I’m a little crazy but if anyone knows of someone who can do the meadow flower thing then let me know.

rafa kids blog
Posted by katybrown | Filed under Things I like
I came across this lovely blog today due to Agata, the lady who writes it, commenting on my blog. Rafa kids is Agata’s blog about the creative world for children. She is a Polish architect living in Holland and likes to design things herself. I found some beautiful items on Agata’s blog including the pop-up book below called “ In het bos van de luiaard”. I think it’s dutch but there aren’t many words so it doesn’t matter too much if you can’t understand them. The pictures do it for me.
bookhou

My man (soon to be husband) and I would desperately love to expand the Trove line. Bookhou is a wonderful example of this. A husband and wife team based in Canada making beautiful handprinted items, they have a lovely shop too.
