I’m back!

Having spent sometime wondering what to do about olive&brown and where I’m going to take it I have mde the decision to work on it full time. From January 2011 thats what I’ll be doing. So from now its serious!!!
We have been working on a collection of little wooden books, based on my wallpaper, which I will be selling online (but not yet). Below is a prototype of ’she would sail oceans’.
workspace

My work is on hold at the moment until we sort out a decent workspace in the flat. We are hopefully getting it sorted this weekend. So apologies for the lack of posts but that’s my reason.
I keep looking at the beautiful soup for flat inspiration and I came across this lovely photo.
I love the little houses on the windowsill, they make me smile.

Not long to go now, cant wait. ……
I keep finding lovely photos to inspire me (sorry pan), this one’s off the beautiful soup. I really like collections of interesting things. And the chair is pretty damn nice too.

if I had a shop….

If I had a shop I would want it to look something like those of sketchbook magazine’s or beyond the valley. It would be filled with my wallpaper and have sketches on the walls, lovely things in the window and the magazine I plan to one day be editor of. Oh dreams eh!!…

Leeds exhibition

Here is the flyer to the leeds exhibit at the bowery. I’m showing a few new pieces, one being a complete embroidery piece and the others are drawings with embroidery incorporated in them. They will also be displaying my new ’she will sail oceans’ wallpaper piece which will be cool.
this weekend

We are off to edinburgh this weekend to see my friends Bill + Matt. I cant wait! We are going by train (which I love), going to see the sea (which I also love) and I’ll be spending quality time with my man (who I also love, very much) in a beautiful city. Ooo can’t wait.
In the lead up to moving in to our new flat my friend sent me some links to a couple of cool interior (and exterior) design blogs. Its definitely got those creative juices flowing. They are ‘The beautiful soup’ and ‘The architecture blog’
I really like this wallpaper on one of the photos.
a place to live…hopefully!!

Well if you know me well you will know that I currently live with my mum and I do all my work on a desk next to my bed!! It has been difficult to get on and do the things I love this past year. Anyway me and my man have finally found a place to live and I cant wait to have a proper work area which isn’t next to where I rest my weary head. I am not counting my chickens though until we move in, so at the moment I’m keeping all appendages crossed.
If we do get to have a place of our own then you will find us off Oxford rd in Manchester city centre, not far from one of my favourite places to have a tipple or two (a mere two mins in fact!). I cant wait.
If it happens then I’ll be looking for one of these (see below and no not the granny, although I’ll have one if anyones offering)
